Mandi prices
Source: "Variety-wise Daily Market Prices Data of Commodity", published by Agmarknet (Directorate of Marketing & Inspection, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare) on data.gov.in under the Government Open Data License – India. A day's prices are complete the following morning, so the latest prices shown are usually the previous day's arrivals.
- Prices are rupees per quintal (100 kg); ₹/kg = quintal price ÷ 100.
- Modal price is the price at which most of the day's trade took place; min and max are the day's range.
- Market yards in the same town (for example a grain yard and a fruit & vegetable yard) are shown together on one mandi page.
- Change compares with the same mandi's previous report for that crop. Trend charts use the median modal price per day.
Egg rates
Source: NECC (National Egg Coordination Committee) daily suggested egg prices, quoted per 100 eggs. NECC states that these are suggested prices only, that it does not engage in trade, and that actual prices may vary.
